After a fire, the damage goes well past what burned. Smoke and heat reach framing, insulation, cabinets and finishes throughout the house, and the claim can get complicated fast. Rockwood Reconstruction rebuilds fire-damaged homes across Denver Metro and the Front Range, from structural repairs to the last coat of paint, and works with your insurance carrier along the way.
What we rebuild after a fire
- Framing, trusses and roof structure
- Insulation, drywall and paint
- Kitchens: cabinets, countertops and fixtures
- Flooring throughout the home
- Doors, windows, trim and interior finishes
- Garages and attached structures
How a fire rebuild works
- Walkthrough. We inspect the structure and every room smoke reached, and document it with photos and measurements.
- Scope and estimate. We build a line-by-line rebuild estimate and line it up against your adjuster’s scope.
- Plans and permits. When structural work is involved, we coordinate drawings, engineering and permits with the city.
- Rebuild. Structure first, then mechanical work by licensed trades, then drywall, cabinets, flooring and finishes.
- Final walkthrough. We walk the home with you and finish the punch list before closing out the claim.

Common questions
Do you handle smoke and soot cleaning?
Cleaning and odor removal are done by a fire mitigation company. We handle the reconstruction and coordinate with them on timing.
Does the whole kitchen have to be replaced?
Not always. It depends on how far smoke and heat got into the cabinets and materials. We document the condition so the scope reflects what actually needs replacing.
How long does a fire rebuild take?
It depends on the size of the loss and whether permits and engineering are needed. We give you a schedule after the walkthrough and keep you updated as the work moves.
