When mold is found, the affected drywall, insulation, flooring and sometimes cabinets have to come out. Once a remediation company has removed the mold and cleared the area, Rockwood Reconstruction rebuilds everything that was taken out. We serve homeowners across Denver Metro and the Front Range and work with your insurance claim when the mold came from a covered water loss.
What we rebuild after mold remediation
- Drywall, insulation, texture and paint
- Subfloor and finished flooring
- Bathroom and kitchen cabinets, vanities and countertops
- Tub surrounds and tile
- Baseboards and trim
- Basement walls and finishes
How it works
- Remediation. A remediation company removes the mold and the damaged materials. We are not a mold remediation company. We come in after the area has been cleared.
- Walkthrough and estimate. We measure what was removed and build a rebuild estimate.
- Insurance review. If the mold came from a covered leak, we line our scope up with your adjuster’s.
- Rebuild. We put back walls, floors, cabinets and finishes.
- Final walkthrough. We walk the finished work with you.

Common questions
Do you remove mold?
No. Mold removal should be done by a remediation company. We do the reconstruction after it is cleared.
Will insurance pay to rebuild after mold?
It depends on your policy and what caused the mold. Mold from a sudden covered water loss is often included. Mold from long-term leaks or humidity often is not. Your adjuster makes that call, and we can help document the damage.
